Opportunities and pipelines
Track deals through stages, with the board staying accurate because conversations move it.
What is a pipeline?
A pipeline is a set of stages a deal moves through, for example New, Contacted, Quoted, Won. An opportunity is one deal on that pipeline: who it is for, what it is worth, and which stage it sits in.
You can have several pipelines, for example one for new sales and one for renewals, each with its own stages.
How do I create a pipeline?
- Open Opportunities and click Pipelines.
- Name the pipeline and add your stages in order.
- Save. The board view now shows a column per stage.
How do deals move without anyone updating them?
Automations can create an opportunity when a call ends with a particular outcome, move it to another stage when the customer replies, and mark it lost if nobody responds after a set time.
That is the point of keeping conversations and deals in one system: the board reflects what actually happened rather than what someone remembered to record.
Can I see the money?
Each opportunity carries a value in your account currency. The board shows the total per stage, so you can see what is sitting in each part of the funnel without exporting anything.
